TOYOTA LAUNCHES MAJOR BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM

Toyota Australia today launched a major business transformation program involving the exchange of business information in real time using web services.

The program, titled tJunction, includes information technology and business process improvements in Toyota’s extended vehicle value chain.

tJunction will focus on reducing costs and creating new business opportunities for Toyota dealers, customers and partners.

Dealer management systems vendor Reynolds & Reynolds and dealership Phil Gilbert Toyota today joined Toyota Australia to celebrate the rollout of the program.

Toyota Australia Executive Director Sales and Marketing Dave Buttner said tJunction was developed to improve opportunities in Toyota’s current systems and processes.

“We analysed existing dealership business processes, systems and technology. We also examined the extended vehicle value chain process, covering wholesale, retail, finance, service, support and resale, to identify gaps and improvement opportunities,” said Mr Buttner.

“We have now developed system improvements and new end-to-end business applications to help streamline dealer operations.

“tJunction’s ability to exchange business information in real time with our dealers using web services is a major achievement that we believe to be unique in the world”

“Toyota dealers, customers and partners will enjoy benefits including reduced costs, improved productivity, new business opportunities and improved customer satisfaction through the tJunction program.”

tJunction will be introduced into Toyota dealerships around Australia over the next four years.
