R.I.T.C.H. Foundation Caring For The Environment

The R.I.T.C.H. Foundation has cared for many within our local community, the foundation would also like to encourage caring for the environment.

We are all becoming more aware of the changes in the environment and the need to find environmentally friendly ways at home and at work.
We aim to minimize the impact our business has on the environment and make efficient use of energy, water and paper.

We would like to propose the following environmentally friendly business practices.

If you notice a tap dripping or left on – turn it off or report it to maintenance@reynolds.com.au
Electronic equipment – photocopies, printers etc – where possible to be turned off each afternoon before you leave the building (if you are in any doubt if your printer needs to be left on please check with your BF Manager)
All office computers are shut down and screens turned off at the end of each day (unless your BF Manager specifically requests you leave your computer on)
Wherever possible email messages are read on screen and not printed
Printer settings are defaulted to duplex, double side printing (if available on the printer)
All used paper is recycled, confidential and general documentation are separated – Recycle bins are located outside the back door, please store all non confidential paper for recycling in a box in your area and empty into the bins regularly. Confidential documentation to be placed in the confidential bags
All printer/facsimiles toners to be recycled – a recycle box is available near the main photocopier
Meeting room lights/heating/air conditioning/Data Projectors all to be switched off when vacating the meeting room
Empty cans from the Coke machine to be recycled – special recycling bin available near the coke machine
Canteen area use green bags not plastic carrier bags (this has been happening for some time)
Reduce the amount of plastic cups used, if you have a water bottle bring it in and fill it up at the water dispenser.

We will continue to explore environmentally friendly alternatives and welcome any practical suggestions.

We understand all of the above will not always be practical but encourage you to follow the above guidelines where possible.
